Upgraded to 4GB and 12 Cell Battery- HP DV2000

My HP DV2000 Pavilion Laptop was running on 1GB RAM and it was pretty slow when I used to run 5-6 applications simultaneously (memory consuming applications). I was using triple boot on this machine (Vista Home Premium, Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 RC) and the performance was still good, but it would slow down if I keep the application open for long time. On top of this the battery had worn out and it didn’t charge any more, so it was very difficult to use the Laptop while travelling. I was using my XPERIA while travelling. So two of the upgrades were on my priority list. Once I purchased the Netbook, next thing I did was to upgrade RAM and get a new battery.

Now the Laptop has got a fresh life with 4GB of RAM and a massive 12 Cell Battery. The 12 Cell battery is in fact 2 six cell batteries back to back and as a result it projects out of the Laptop. Here are few images of the 12 Cell Battery.

I had given my HP Laptop for repair on Jan 17th after a motherboard failure. Today, after almost one month, I have got it repaired. The reason for delay was that spares were not available and had to be imported from outside. So finally its back home. Blogging was difficult without the lappy and I had to purchase a new desktop to carry on with blogging.

January was a hard time without the lappy as I had to compose all the posts from my office desktop. In Jan, Life Rocks 2.0 faced severe problems with server management at Slicehost and also many downtimes. Now that the laptop is back in action, I can have better blogging.
